Job Description

  • Talking to clients about their events and ensuring a happy outcome for the client
  • Being able to accommodate guests on caterings and party room reservations
  • Leading staff at events/caterings
  • Communicate with guests, managers and kitchen staff ensuring every event’s success
  • Negotiate with clients on pricing and contracts
  • While working, required to keep up the productivity and organizations of the private rooms and caterings.
  • Inform the staff of the next two weeks of events at each restaurant meeting
  • Relay events in the downtown area that may affect business; the Embassy, Grand Wayne Center, Tin-Caps Games, Festivals, Downtown Events, and The Clyde Theater.
  • Responsible for creating, mailing, and documenting any gift card submissions.
  • Conduct the first interview of all potential applicants for greeter positions.
  • Train all greeters and ensure they are up to date on all new or improved procedures
  • Work as a staff member on caterings if there is a shortage
  • On all large caterings be present to ensure the events success
  • Call and schedule interviews for chefs and managers
  • Updating catering menu as the menu changes in the restaurant
  • Keeping an inventory of catering products and ensure they are restocked


  • Dress will be Business Professional
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to talk on the phone
  • Manages stress, deadlines and sudden issues calmly and professionally
  • Extremely organized is a must
  • Dependable and timely
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to train and mentor
